Our Story
Small plates,
made with care.
Barcelona Tappas began with a simple belief: that the best meals are shared. Local markets, seasonal produce, and a chargrill that never stops smoking.
How it began
A table built for sharing
Barcelona Tappas grew out of a love for the way Spain eats. Long evenings, small plates arriving one after another, and a table that never feels empty. We wanted to bring that feeling to life with the produce of our own region.
From the first night we opened, the rule was simple: source locally, cook honestly, and let the ingredients lead. The chargrill was lit and it has barely rested since.
What started as a handful of dishes and a short wine list has become a kitchen rooted in seasonality, where ensaladilla rusa, jamon iberico, pulpo a la gallega and tortilla de patatas sit beside whatever the market gave us that morning.
What we stand for
Three things we never compromise
Local and fresh
We buy from local markets and trusted growers. If it is not fresh, it does not reach the table. The menu shifts with the season because the produce tells us to.
Cooked over fire
Our chargrill is the heart of the kitchen. Smoke, char, and warmth run through the food. It is slow, honest cooking, the way tapas was meant to taste.
Made for sharing
Plates arrive as they are ready, and the table fills slowly. We cook for conversation, for long evenings, and for the pleasure of passing dishes between friends.
In the kitchen
The people behind the plates
Our team is small and stubborn about detail. The kitchen works the way a Spanish tapas bar should: fast at the pass, patient at the grill, and precise on the plate.
Every dish is built to be shared, which means every dish has to be right. A single plate of pulpo or a wedge of tortilla is the whole meal for someone at the table, so we treat it that way.
See what we cookA note on sourcing
Local first, always
We work with local markets, small growers, and producers who care about the same things we do. Seasonal produce, honest sourcing, and food that tastes of where it came from. When the market changes, the menu changes with it.
